Welcome to the Velvet Throw Blanket!
This free crochet pattern is the perfect beginner crochet pattern! Its full of simple repeats and you end up with the coziest end result!

- This pattern was written to be 42 inches wide by 43 inches long. If you would like to make a different sized blanket, instructions for a crib blanket, a larger throw blanket, and a twin sized blanket can be found in the ad-free pattern PDF.

- I used 3 skeins of Bernat Velvet Yarn for this project. Other yarn substitutions include: Lionbrand Veluxe Yarn or any other chunky (weight 5) yarn of your choice!
(Pattern begins below)

Materials:
- Yarn: Bernat Velvet Yarn, 3 balls. (945 yards total). I used the color “Vapor Grey” for the pictured throw blanket
- Other yarn suggestions
- LionBrand Veluxe Yarn
- Any other chunky weight (size 5) yarn will also work~
- 6.5mm/ K crochet hook
- Tapestry Needle
- Measuring Tape
Abbreviations:
- CH: Chain
- HDC: Half Double Crochet
- Sl St: Slip Stitch
- F/O: Finish off (Slip stitch and weave in ends)
Gauge:
11 HDC Sttiches by 12 HDC Rows = 4×4 inch square

The Pattern:
Begin by Chaining 113
Row 1: HDC into the second chain from your hook and across. (112)
Row 2: Ch 1 to turn. HDC across your row. (112)
Row 3- 100: Repeat Row 2.
F/O and weave in ends.
