The Jackson Pullover

Welcome to The Jackson Pullover!

The Jackson Pullover is a unisex, personally sized pullover that just requires 4 simple measurements to make! This pullover utilizes your own personal body measurements (or those of a friend or child you have on hand) to make the perfectly sized-to-you pullover!

With this pattern, you won’t need to worry that your finished crochet garment won’t fit because it is based on your body measurements! I created this pattern in an effort to make my husband a pullover that fit him perfectly. After a few tweaks to the formula, I had it running smoothly and soon, had a custom fit pullover finished for my husband. I then had some testers try out the formula with their different sizes and tried another size for my 18 month old baby. Tried and true, the pattern delivered!

I am so excited to release this into your hands! I hope you enjoy the pattern! Below you can find yardage and material suggestions as well as links to the yarn I used for this project!

Materials and Yarn Suggestions

For this pattern I recommend finding a yarn with nice drape. This pattern calls for worsted weight yarn, depending on the size, you’ll need any where from 150 yards to 1200 yards. I used 150 yards for my size 18 month pullover and 950 yards for my husband’s pullover (He wears a mens medium). My husband’s pullover is made from Lion Brand Jeans Yarn which is super soft and has an excellent drape! They come in multiple shades of blues which worked well because blue is my husband’s favorite color.

For my baby’s pullover, I used Knit Picks’ Provincial Tweed in Caramel for the Body and Comfy Color Mist in Foggy Beach for the cuffs.

Other Materials:

This pattern calls for a 5.0mm crochet hook. My favorite hooks are Susan Bates, but of course, you can use whatever suits your fancy.

You’ll also need a measuring tape to get your custom measurements for this project. Here is the one I use from Joanns!
