The Lady Jackson Tee
Hey maker friends!
I’m here to introduce my newest pattern; The Lady Jackson Tee.
This tee came out of a shopping trip gone wrong. I’ve had three children and I feel like I am constantly searching for clothing that fits my postpartum body. (I know I should just give up now 😉 ). When I go to a clothing store, it is a big production. I’m testing clothes for ability to nurse a baby, possibility to be early pregnant, high enough necklines that a grabbing baby wont constantly be flashing me in public etc. etc. etc. It takes me FOREVER in a clothing store just to find one thing. Anyway, on one of these particular shopping trips I found myself with three children in an Old Navy, attempting to find a few more staples for my wardrobe. My girls were starting to get impatient after a while and they politely asked to go to the kids section to see what they had. I, finally finding what I needed, headed over with the kids. My daughter grabbed a shirt off of a hanger and embraced it, exclaiming that she loved it. It was a beautiful top, pink and white with a babydoll fit. Of course, this child’s shirt was priced at $26. For a kid’s shirt that will fit for maybe a year. I told her no and she was heartbroken. She told the shirt goodbye and laid it on the ground with tears in her eyes. I instantly had the idea that I could remake that shirt in similar colors for about $4 in yarn. So I went for it! Thus, you have this shirt; The Lady Jackson Tee.
The Lady Jackson Tee comes in sizes 3-6 months, 6-12 months, 18 months, 2 years, 4 years, 6 years, 8 years and 10 years. It uses 200-600 yards of a DK weight yarn. The Lady Jackson Tee comes together mostly seamlessly except for a few stitches on the shoulders and it uses The Lady Jackson Stitch, which you can find a tutorial for here.
I hope you enjoy this pattern! Please share your makes with me with #theladyjacksontee
